Reclaimed Oak Lumber

100% of our Antique Oak lumber is sawn from salvaged timbers or directly reclaimed from old lumber and planks.

Antique Oak lumber that has been sawn from salvaged barn timbers makes up  "Re-sawn" grade.

This lumber will generally have a more consistent color and not quite as many nail holes.  This can ship specified as either Red Oak or White Oak.

Antique Oak lumber salvaged directly from barns makes up our "Barn-board" grade.

This lumber will generally have greater color variations, more frequent nail holes and will make furniture or cabinetry with a more distinctive rustic character.  This ships as a mixture of both Red and White Oak.

Aged White Oak has a very distinct vintage brown color that is very hard to create by using new wood.

Reclaimed White Oak beams and planks were used in this period style English Tutor home.

Click here for a few more pictures from this project.

Antique White Oak lumber was used to build this custom kitchen.

Thanks to the amazing workmanship of Jim and Gary with Woodbine, old barn lumber can be turned into an amazing finished piece of furniture.

The unique naturally patina of Reclaimed White Oak makes for a beautifully aged appearance.

While these pictures show mostly built in cabinetry etc., many of our customers are using this Antique White Oak lumber to make custom furniture, flooring and other millwork.

Some of the character and aging marks found in the Antique Oak lumber are things like: nail holes, bolt holes, knots and aged stress cracks.

The porch ceiling pictured at right, is made from the old salvaged barn-board lumber.

The age and patina of the lumber give this porch a very original and authentic feel.
