Antique Heart Pine Lumber

100% of our Antique Heart Pine lumber is sawn from reclaimed old-growth Pine timbers and decking. 

These salvaged Heart Pine timbers, once destined for the land fill, have a wonderful hidden beauty that  can only be released by sawing these timbers into lumber.

Please do not mistake our true Antique Heart Pine lumber with the many other "new" Heart Pine  available from other companies. 

 

Our relationship with demo contractors allows us to acquire top quality raw materials in salvaged Heart Pine timbers but also in some very nice Heart Pine decking, as seen at right.

We try to buy our Heart Pine timbers and decking from buildings that were built pre 1900.

Many large commercial buildings like textile mills, warehouses and other manufacturing facilities constructed during this era primarily used virgin Southern Longleaf Pine harvested throughout the southern states.

From here, all timbers are meticulously scanned for nails and other hardware and then sawn into lumber.

We saw lumber in some standard thicknesses like: 1", 1.25" and 2".

We can also saw custom sizes to meet your specification.

Antique Heart Pine lumber is used to building some exceptional cabinetry.

The cabinetry shown to the right has the Premium planks for drawer front and panels and the the Premium Edge Grain planks for the rails and stiles.

We have lumber available in different grades to match the needs of most projects. 

Our Premium Edge Grain, as shown at left, is mostly clear with at least 95% of the planks being sawn for the unique edge grain appearance.

Most of our Antique Heart Pine lumber is shipped nationwide to mill-shops, furniture makers, cabinet shops and builders.

We also help out many individual wood workers who want to build their own furniture.

All of our Antique Heart Pine lumber is kiln dried to about 8% MC.

This makes the lumber much more stable and helps to ensure a high quality finished project.
