Reclaimed Oak Flooring with “Worn Edge”

Shown with an Early American stain from Minwax

This hand selected Reclaimed Oak flooring is amazing…

These reclaimed Oak flooring planks are random width from 8″ – 11″ wide, not to mention the beautiful stain and finish. This particular flooring was stained with Minwax Early American and then finished with a polyurethane, making the planks stand out even more.

The flooring, without a doubt makes a great transformation of the space. The worn edge undoubtedly gives it an added touch of character.

Original Character & Patina

We leave just the right amount of the original character on the faces of the planks and as a result, you get this gorgeous custom look.

This leaves much of the aged patina as well as occasional saw marks and gives the reclaimed oak flooring a natural warmth and charm. In this case medium widths were the correct choice for the room sizes.

Golden Oak With Worn Edge

The reclaimed oak flooring shown here is the centerpiece of a nice restoration project in California. It is by and large one of the most unique floors on the market.

Floor planks in this project are from 5.5″ – 7.5″. As a result of the widths, you get a nice wide plank look in a medium sized room.

Reclaimed Oak Flooring – Time Worn Beauty

The “Worn Edge” profile accents each wide plank and at the same time gives the sense of a very old and well worn floor.

The flooring shown here is random widths of 4.5″-9.5″. A stain was applied before it was finished, giving the flooring a more uniform color and evened out the tones a bit.

Time Worn Beauty

The reclaimed oak flooring here was done in random 5.5″ – 8.5″ widths. The skip planed flooring goes perfectly with this style home.

Shown here is a picture from a recent project in Arizona done in random 3.5″-7.5″ planks with our “worn edge” profile.

The reclaimed oak flooring really brings a warmth to this custom wine cellar, especially when compared to newer flooring without that natural character.

In the long run, this will add value to the home as well as providing a floor that is a good bit harder and more durable than it’s new flooring counterparts.
