The Reclaimed Oak Collection
Strength, Heritage, and Unmatched Patina
Sourced from 19th-century barns and industrial structures, our Antique Oak offers a density and character that modern lumber simply cannot replicate.
Explore the four distinct grades below ↓

Antique Barn Board Oak
The Soul of the Shenandoah Valley
Our most sought-after floor, the Barn Board Oak is meticulously skip-planed to balance fresh wood grain with the original, weathered “skin.” By preserving the aged patina and occasional saw marks of century aged lumber, this grade provides a versatile, textured foundation that bridges the gap between historic soul and modern design.
Antique Beam Sawn Oak
A Canvas of Old-Growth Grain
Resawn from the interior of massive structural timbers, this grade offers a clean, refined surface that highlights the dense, tight grain found only in old-growth oak. Without the original exterior patina, it reveals a luminous, sophisticated palette that serves as the perfect architectural anchor for “Quiet Luxury” and contemporary estates.
Antique Vintage Thresher Oak
Authenticity, Unfiltered
Milled from the original face of barn and house boards, our Thresher Oak is as close to an authentic 1800s floor as possible. We leave the entire historic surface intact—featuring deep brown tones and rugged saw marks that have been hardened by a century of use. It is a bold, narrative-rich choice for spaces that demand an immersive historical atmosphere.
Antique Rustic Cabin Grade Oak
Character in its Purest Form
As a true mill-run of our standard Barn Board Oak, the Rustic Cabin Plank is manufactured without “defecting.” By retaining every original knot, stress crack, and heavy aging mark, we provide a floor with an uncompromisingly rugged appeal. It is the definitive choice for the master craftsman seeking an honest, high-character material that makes no apologies.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Antique Oak suitable for high-traffic areas or homes with dogs?
Absolutely. Old-growth reclaimed oak is exceptionally dense—far harder than newly harvested oak. Because it already features a natural, century-old patina, it doesn’t show everyday wear and tear. It simply absorbs your family’s history into its character.
What is the difference between "Original Face" and "Skip-Planed"?
“Original Face” preserves 100% of the original saw marks, weathering, and deep texture from its life as a barn timber. “Skip-Planed” means we lightly mill the top surface—revealing the beautiful, clean oak grain underneath while leaving only the deepest original character marks intact. It’s a smoother, more refined aesthetic.
Can your solid reclaimed oak be installed over radiant floor heating?
Yes, solid reclaimed Oak offers exceptional stability for radiant heat systems because it has been naturally seasoning for over a century. This historic aging process makes the lumber significantly more resilient and dimensionally consistent than new-growth solid wood.
However, any bespoke integration requires site-specific expertise. Determining whether our specific plank widths and your unique heating system are a perfect architectural match is a critical judgment call that must be made by the onsite architect or professional builder. We have supplied many successful radiant heat projects, but final responsibility for total environmental control—including proper subfloor preparation, humidity monitoring, and heating system temperature regulation—always rests with your specialized installation team
How long does it take to mill a custom oak floor?
Because every floor is hand-graded and custom-milled to order in our Virginia shop, our standard lead time is typically 4 to 6 weeks. For highly bespoke requests or extremely large architectural volumes, we will provide a specific timeline during your quote.
About how much does it cost to ship flooring to my job site?
Freight costs vary depending on the size of your specific order, the exact delivery location, and current carrier fuel surcharges. As a general baseline, you can budget approximately $0.75 per square foot for Mid-Atlantic shipments, and $1.25 per square foot for West Coast deliveries.
Because freight rates fluctuate and every job site is unique, these numbers are strictly ballparks. To get a perfectly accurate shipping rate, we highly recommend calling us or filling out a Quote Request, and our team will calculate the exact logistics for your project.
Are your shipping quotes firm, or will costs change after I order?
We pride ourselves on providing firm shipping quotes upfront directly on your Sales Order, and we work hard to ensure there are no “surprise” surcharges after the fact.
On rare occasions, we may need to re-quote a delivery due to unusual circumstances—such as sudden spikes in carrier fuel surcharges or new information regarding your specific delivery site details. If this ever happens, we prioritize complete transparency and will communicate with you immediately so you are always fully informed about your project’s budget.
