Original barn lumber and
planks resawn
from large beams taken from demolition sites
· Heartwood:
can have unlimited sapwood, but overall there will be a good amount of
heartwood.

open and tight grain texture
· Knots:
Sound and broken knots
· Holes:
Scattered nail
/ spike holes which may have a dark ferrous stains and
may also have larger bolt holes.
May have frequent worm holes and other insect scars
· Cracks:
Many
original stress and aging cracks
· Face
Character:
Some original saw marks, color variations, cracks, nail holes and
other signs of previous use.
· Color:
This cabin grade of Antique Oak has colors very similar to the
standard Barn-board Oak flooring.
